cysmo® API version 3 was long in the making and enables our customers to integrate the trusted cysmo® ratings into their application in new ways.

Creating a new API version was necessary as the older API version 2 could not represent some of the fundamental changes we did to cysmo’s internal structure. With the new version, our customers API integrations will finally be able to use the new features you already came to love from the cysmo® web application:

• Multiple cysmo® portfolios to categorize your companies and apply different underwriting rules, radar settings or user permissions
• On-demand re-ratings with different priority queues whether it’s batches on LOW priority or an ad-hoc re-rating with speedy results as you are used to.
• Large infrastructure scans the “Re-rate XL” button finally becomes API accessible
• Updated translations endpoint, more flexible PDF download options and so much more

Reworking the API also made it possible to make it more future-proof: API v3 doesn’t just represent our current structure but is also more extendable than the previous API v2. That means we are able to add functionality more easily without introducing breaking changes for anyone.

Getting Started and Migration Guides

For our new customers, we created a first Getting Started guide, which explains the fundamentals of cysmo® and its API design.

Our existing customers have plenty of time to migrate their existing integrations from API v2 to v3. Every possible use case from v2 and how to achieve the same in v3 is laid out in our comprehensive v2 ➔ v3 Migration Guide, so you should have no trouble switching over. If we forgot something, please let us know. We are happy to add it.
